I am an accountant with more than 14 years experience. Having attended Kent University at Canterbury to study a degree in Mathematics with Accountancy & Finance, I saw the opportunities offered by a full time trainee accountant role, and accepted that post before completing my first year. I spent more than 6 years working in practice for 3 firms of accountants in Maidstone — gaining a well rounded knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts preparation, payroll and personal and corporate tax while studying AAT.
I began servicing my own clients in 2005, and 2 years later started working for myself full-time. Since then I have set-up and run the internal accounts functions for several small businesses; provided finance manager services to companies; and grown a client list of landlords, small self-employed businesses and small Limited Companies.
I am an accountant with more than 16 years experience. After completing my A levels I went straight into employment as an accounts clerk at a practice in Maidstone, while studying ACCA. There I obtained a firm grounding in accounts preparation for all manner of legal entities. I also gained a firm knowledge of auditing, tax returns and VAT returns, and assisting in running the payroll department.
I have also seen things from the client-side of business – having then moved into industry. I spent a number of years working in the Financial Accounting Department of a worldwide media company. Now, having recently moved back to my roots of working in practice, I continue to use my experience to the advantage of my clients.
